D’autres pays suivront.

Center for Worldwide Democratic Improvement Opens in the Middle East

I think that this idea of modernising democracy is the most important contribution to global people management ever. It goes directly to the heart of the problem and offers a solution. It is simple and it works.

Yemen

Did the people of Yemen give permission to the politicians to steal from the national treasury and the people of Yemen? No! , of course they didn't. So why are many members of the Yemeni government being allowed to get away with it? Why do the police not arrest them? Why do the judges not jail them?

Why does the world not step in to help the people of Yemen? The answer is- immunity. Your leaders, politicians, judges, police all have immunity. That means they can fail at their job and you cannot do anything about it. Remember this- Yemen is owned by all the people. The people who manage your country work for you, its not the other way around. They ask you to trust them with the management of your country, you pay them to protect your interest. Sadly too many of them steal money or accept bribes in exchange for contracts or concessions. Government money is your money and is needed to pay for doctors and medicines, or to invest in long term water supply.

As a nation of people you should be demanding the removal of all immunity of anyone you trust running YOUR country. Make all of your leaders accountable to a jury of ordinary people; don't trust them. You need the ability to drag them before a jury to test their honesty. Ordinary people of Yemen would be on that jury so the people collectively have the ultimate power, rather than one faction who want it all for them.

You have a beautiful country full of great people who do not deserve the corruption and failure of care you have being getting from your government. Speak your mind, your government is owned by you- they work for you- so you set the rules regarding immunity.

I have found this list of ‘political parties’ in Yemen.
General People's Congress (al-Mu'tammar al-Sha'bi al-'Am)
Yemeni Congregation for Reform (al-Tajmu al-Yamani li al-Islah)
Yemen Socialist Party (Hizb al-Ishtirakiya al-Yamaniya)
Nasserite Unionist People's Organisation (al-Tantheem al-Wahdawi al-Sha'bi al-Nasseri)
Arab Socialist Rebirth Party (Hizb al Baath al'Arabi al Ishtiraki)
And the Al-Hakk party

Political parties have memberships. If they do not then they are a movement and have nothing to do with politics apart from lobby. Political parties have open memberships which you can join whichever one you want. When you join or if you are already a member of a political party you could vote for new accountability and oversight rules to be new party policy. All as you need is enough votes and the party policy will then in government become new laws of Yemen. It’s like a backdoor method of forcing change. Its people power.

If you the people of Yemen want your leaders to be accountable then they should start a campaign to achieve this. The moment you remove the immunity laws and make your leaders accountable your country will grow as one and collectively you can decide ways to improve the way of lives of everyone.
